Chaudhary Devi Lal University continues its journey as a dynamic and forward-looking institution, welcoming the New Year 2026 with renewed enthusiasm, determination, and a clear sense of purpose. Guided by the principles of the National Education Policy–2020, the University remains steadfast in its commitment to quality education, innovation, universal human values, and sustainable development.

In its pursuit of academic excellence, the University has further strengthened its academic framework through the introduction of new programmes, including a four-year Undergraduate Programme in B.Sc. (Life Sciences and Physical Sciences), Bachelor of Performance Arts, a Postgraduate Programme in Sociology, a Diploma in Yoga and a Certificate Course in Punjabi from the academic session 2025–26.

To promote the holistic development of students, several significant initiatives have been undertaken, such as the establishment of the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, the Universal Human Values Education Cell, and the Training and Placement Cell. The University has also entered into multiple Memoranda of Understanding with reputed national and international institutions, fostering academic collaboration, research, and experiential learning. In addition, the Department of Education has signed MoUs with special schools to support the educational needs of differently-abled & visually impaired students and started new programme ISITEP (B.A.B.Ed.).

Demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, the University has undertaken large-scale plantation drives with the plantation of more than 3,000 plants across the campus, along with impactful initiatives such as Neki Ki Deewar, promoting compassion and community welfare. Academic vibrancy has been further enriched through the successful organization of the Science Conclave “Udaan”, encouraging scientific temper, innovation, and interdisciplinary dialogue.

In the era of digital transformation, the University is making consistent efforts toward the complete digitization of academic and administrative systems. With students at the centre of all initiatives, focused efforts are being made to achieve excellence in academics, sports, cultural activities, and innovation. The University has also brought laurels by securing the 27th rank in sports under the Khelo India initiative, reflecting its strong emphasis on sports and physical well-being.
