The faculty of Physical Sciences was established in 2003. The Constitution, Power and Composition of the Faculty is available in the Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa Act 2003 published in Haryana Government Gazette (Extraordinary) Notification, April 2003. At present, the Faculty of Physical Sciences comprises of Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry and Department of Mathematics. The Faculty awarded postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) and doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Recently, it is proposed by a Committee that the Department of Geography is the part of Faculty of Physical Sciences and the postgraduate degree (M.Sc. Geography) is now awarded by this Faculty, and the approval of Academic Council in this regard is awaited. The Faculty of Physical Sciences is also going to run a graduate degree programme namely B.Sc. Fashion Design & Lifestyle Technology and a postgraduate degree programme namely M.Sc. Home Science w.e.f. Session 2022-23. All the programmes run under the Faculty of Physical Sciences have excellent carrier opportunities in the concerned fields/ emerging areas.The Faculty is committed and making sincere efforts to impart quality education comprising of academic knowledge and professional skills to all the students so that they may utilize their full potential for academic excellence and for facing challenges of life with enthusiasm.
