About Alumni

The prime objective of the Alumni Association of Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa is to bridge the gap between the University and alumnus. Being the Alma mater, it is responsible for keeping complete database of alumni with their required details, collect feedback, inform them about the transformation in the and achievements of the University. Further, the Alumni association considered the feedback given by the Alumni for the purpose of improvement and necessary changes in the scheme and syllabi of different programmes being run in the University Teaching Departments and for the establishment of new department, college and school. The Alumni Association also contributes a lot to handle the social awareness program in terms of disseminating the information about admission procedure, placement, seminars, workshop, conference, etc. The associations also strive to collect the funds to create to corpus for the financial strength of the University. One of the prime features of the alumni association is to convene the meet of alumni in online or offline mode. The alumni association has already convene alumni meet on April 22, 2018 (offline mode-department level & University level), October, 2020 (online mode-department level) and November 2021 (online mode-University level). In these meetings, alumni shared their experiences, challenges faced by them during their businesses, professions, occupations and other fields connected with them. During these interactions alumni highlighted the importance of current trends in the market and guided the students about their career opportunities in different fields. They also shared their personal experiences with students. Alumni visit campus at regular intervals to support the existing batch of students in planning and organizing events, extend support and guidance for functioning of various students clubs. Alumni who are entrepreneurs have been providing inputs on how to start a new venture and turning them in to job providers. This has resulted in to two out of four students who have in progress of their revenue streams. Some of the alumni are actively participating in social service combining with creative activities for rural area kids. These activities are quite motivational and create enthusiasm among students resulting in awareness related to importance of education among poor children. Whenever these alumni visit the campus they motivate students to follow their path for the betterment of the society. Alumni extend their support for campus placements and summer and winter internships for the students of departments of Science, Computer and Business Administration. After interaction with all the alumni the necessary suggestions are being incorporated at the University level as deemed fit.
